Safety
Learning to swim is just the beginning. Mastering water safety involves understanding water hazards, recognizing signs of distress, and knowing lifesaving techniques to rescue others—especially loved ones. Safety extends beyond basic swimming skills; it requires a comprehensive approach that everyone should embrace. Our lifesaving swim classes are designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills for effective emergency response. By focusing on water safety, rescue techniques, and first aid, our program ensures that individuals are prepared to handle emergencies and protect themselves and others.
Experienced and Dedicated Coach
Mr. Henry Tan, a former national lifesaving coach with over 30 years of experience, is deeply committed to building a strong foundation in swimming. He has mentored numerous students who have gone on to become swim coaches themselves, continuing to inspire a love for water sports.
Structured Progression
The lifesaving swim syllabus, regulated by the Singapore Life Saving Society, consists of several awards and stages, with the most common being Lifesaving 1, 2, 3, and the Bronze Medallion (BM). Lifesaving 1, 2, and 3 cover the basics of lifesaving skills and techniques, aiming to equip learners with preliminary water safety knowledge, including resuscitation and water rescue skills. These foundational stages lead up to the Bronze Medallion, which emphasizes swim fitness, rescue methods under time constraints, and essential Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training for emergency situations.
